I have tried the same LAN cable and setup on my laptop and it works. Running a diagnostic in Windows shows up as no Ethernet cable connected. The Ethernet connection is also not working in Windows 10.

The option for Ethernet Network is greyed out and only wireless connections are available. After upgrading my dual-boot Windows 10 and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS to 16.04 the wired connection has stopped working.
